Calan embodies the delicious colour combination of grey and green. From the top of her long silver locks made of dyed welsh sheep's locks and headdress of hand dyed grey/green/brown paper flowers, to her full ball gown skirt made of natural grey welsh sheep's fleece, Calan is both elegant and edgy.
Her painted pale green paper clay face frames her enormous hand painted green and brown resin eyes. She wears a single rhinestone on her third eye. (forehead)
Calan wears a luxurious crocheted shawl in grey and green wool yarns with touches of tan. Her body was constructed using olive green wool melton and wood. Around her neck, a dark grey seed bead necklace features an antique brass pair of ACORNS.
She carries a green hand painted and antiqued wooden box containing many treasures. A large heart shaped MOSS AGATE semi precious stone is perched high on the back. Inside the tea dyed silk lining, you will find several books. One of them is The Encyclopaedia of Toadstools and is a highly detailed miniature volume. Look closely!
The box also contains two tiny real glass vials, one of them is labelled for Digitalis (Foxglove). Also find a hand dyed paper rose and a red and white (Amanita?) mushroom.
