DAFINA, Handmade OOAK Rainbow Fantasy Welsh Fairy Art Doll
A Bwbachod Fairy can be a HELPER
"Where is your beauty? Where is anybody's? Some fleeting skin or shell that fades and blows away with the winter wind? Nonsense.
You are so much more than your temporary packaging. Relish your depth, creativity, insight, personality, soul, spirit, inner magic and eternal beauty. Sweetie, You. Are. Brimming.
Don't thank me."
"Dare to love yourself as if you were a rainbow with gold at both ends." Author-Poet Aberjhani
Dafina's nuno felted shawl is a work of art in itself. Incorporating upcycled colourful silk sari fragments with layers of vividly dyed wool makes a cornucopia of rainbow colour. Yellow, turquoise, purple, hot pink, fuchsia and white are having a party! And a LOUD one at that!
Her all knowing expression is captured perfectly in hand sculpted and painted paper clay. Her hand painted blue eyes are resin. Dafina's long wavy white hair is created using locally sourced welsh sheep fleece.
Dafina's colourful headdress is fashioned with hand painted paper roses and satin ribbon roses. Her necklace is iridescent seed beads.
She carries a lavishly appointed basket loaded to the brim with more hand painted paper roses in every hue. The flowers are nestled in a bed of green moss. A single organza silk flower with pearl spray completes the bouquet.
The basket itself features lovely embroidered white lace cascading down the side. It looks especially striking set against the brilliant turquoise of her wool melton body with hidden wooden support.
Her fluffy skirt is locally sourced natural white sheep's fleece.
