BRIANNE & BRID, OOAK Welsh Fairy Art Dolls Handmade * New Mom Gift
Bwbachod Fairies are HELPERS
"There is a German Proverb that says something like "who takes the child by the hand, takes the mother by the heart". If you've not had children this may not mean so much to you. But if you have embarked on the journey of motherhood, then you know: Just tear out my heart and stomp on it before you dare to harm one hair on my child's head! I am here to offer protective energy for you and your precious child. Welcome to the parenthood adventure. We can use all the help we can get!"
"I'll love you forever, I'll like you for always, As long as I'm living, My baby you'll be." Robert Munsch
Lovely green eyed Brianne's pretty face is sculpted out of paper clay and carefully painted. Her eyes are created by hand painting and poured resin. Her hair is made of tendrils and locks of brown dyed sheep's wool.
She wears an elaborate wreath headdress of hand painted paper roses, gold metallic balls and miniature fruit, symbolising abundance and plenty.
Brianne wears a gorgeous hand crocheted wool cloak in a delicious fall colour palette of olive, russet, forest green, maize and gold. Around her neck is a deep green seed bead necklace with a brass KEY ring pendant.
Her body is created using gold wool melton, wood and sheep's wool stuffing. Her full fluffy skirt is made using locally sourced, natural grey sheep's fleece.
Cradled in her arms, Brianne carries her precious child, Brid. The babe is nestled in a handmade felt cocoon with a copper seed bead necklace. Her hair is tufts of blonde mohair. Her face, hand sculpted and painted paper clay.
Brianne's trusty BESOM is conveniently at her side.
KEYS: are often used as protective amulets or charms. They are symbols that can facilitate opening doors to secret knowledge, practices, unlocking mysteries and removing blockages to your goals in life. They speak to potential, freedom and personal accessibility to previously unreachable goals. They bode a hopeful future. Enjoy personal confidence.
BESOM: is a symbol of banishing, fertility, and cleansing.. Upon delivery, the besom is used to do some sweeping around the birth site. The besom is a potent symbol of fertility and doing this will also banish negative energies from the mother and the baby.. While it does not usually touch the ground, it is used to "sweep out" the negative energies in a room, and is often held a few inches above the ground to do so.
