"Gwyn y gwel fran ei chyw." (The crow sees its chicks as being pure). Yes, our own children are perfect, aren't they? What others think matters very little. Enjoy the world of your making! Love and protect your precious babes and remember to take care of yourself too!"

"Let's take our hearts for a walk in the woods and listen to the magic whispers of old trees." Unknown

Cara is checking you out. She wants to make sure her wee daughter Calon (means "heart") is safe around you. Her face is hand painted paper clay and her expressive eyed are hand painted  and poured resin.

Cara has extravagantly long brown curls that extend past her waist. They are made from dyed UK sheep lock. She has hand painted paper roses tucked in her tresses.

Her cloak is handmade wool felt in shades of mocha, bittersweet, chocolate and morning mist. Cara's body is fashioned using salmon orange wool melton, wood and locally sourced sheep's wool. Her skirt is natural coloured silver grey welsh sheep's fleece.

Cara wears antique brass SUN earrings and a bronze seed bead necklace with a large brass KEY pendant.

She carries a hand painted and antiqued wooden box with her child Calon snug as a bug in her handmade felt cocoon. It also contains a miniature handle basket with a single large LEOPARD SKIN JASPER semi precious stone, a tiny ceramic OWL and hand painted paper roses in profusion.

Cara carries her BESOM by her side.

OWL: Owl Spirit teaches you how to harness the strength needed to open your eyes and look into the shadows.

In Celtic mythology, Owls knew the way to the underworld and were fierce defenders of truth and honour. Owl has no tolerance for deception, even when we are deceiving ourselves.

The Celtic Owl was tied closely to the ancient Goddess of fertility. It frequently appears in knotwork and bestiaries, being revered for its ability to see in the dark and acting as a messenger between humans and the Divine.

Overall, Owl is a symbol of being able to navigate any darkness in our life; this Spirit brings clarity, prophetic inklings, and a strong connection with the mystical world.

Owl often calls on us to release the past and put down burdens that hold us back. You have to face your shadows and fears, then move beyond them to find true happiness.

Owl as a Spirit Animal Guide can aid you in hearing what is really being said despite the words and emotions coming from the messenger.

LEOPARD SKIN JASPER: Like all variety of Jaspers, leopard skin jasper is associated with vitality and strength. It can also bring stability to people who are dealing with chaotic energies in their lives. (New baby, anyone?)

Leopard skin jasper is a self-healing and powerful fostering stone that can support you in your personal growth. Most importantly, leopard skin jasper brings a sense of wholeness, love, and tranquillity.

BESOM: is a symbol of banishing, fertility, and cleansing. Its earlier use was specifically for Western European fertility rites. These Western European rites are the reason why people think witches ride on their besom. Upon delivery, use the besom to do some sweeping around the birth site. The besom is a potent symbol of fertility and doing this will also banish negative energies from the mother and the baby. Doing banishing as early as the day the child is born will benefit the him or her greatly. While it does not usually touch the ground, it is used to "sweep out" the negative energies in a room, and is often held a few inches above the ground to do so.

KEY: are often used as protective amulets or charms. They are symbols that can facilitate opening doors to secret knowledge, practices, unlocking mysteries and removing blockages to your goals in life.
KEY: opens a door. (To your heart?) It speaks to potential, freedom and personal accessibility to previously unreachable goals. It bodes a hopeful future. Enjoy personal confidence.

SUN: represents life, influence and strength. It can symbolise energy, will, being clear and self. It can represent the Self in relation to the cosmic whole.
SUN is a symbol of power, growth, health, passion and the cycle of life. It can represent the higher self.
