Meet Anfad (means mischief) and her son Drwg (means wicked). You might have your hands full with these two... Anfad's rather green and fierce looking paper clay face is crowned with a real lichen headdress with cone, leaf, hand painted paper rose and rhinestone details. Her glaring eyes are hand painted and poured resin.
She wears rhinestone studs in her pierced eyebrows and ears, top and bottom. Anfad is wrapped up in a ruffled hand crocheted cloak of teal/olive/grey-green/turquoise wool yarns. Her necklace is blue seed beads with an antique brass LEAF pendant.
Her long dark blonde hair is mohair locks and her body is fashioned using light blue melton, wood skeleton and stuffed with carded wool. Her skirt is natural grey, locally sourced welsh sheep's fleece.
Anfad cradles her greenish child in a hand painted wooden box with a felt blanket, real moss and Drwg's pet ROOSTER, Gormless.
At Anfad's feet you will find a handmade felt nest surrounded by hand painted paper roses containing a single HEMATITE semi precious stone.
LEAVES: symbolize happiness, growth and rebirth.
ROOSTER: In Celtic symbolism, rooster can symbolize a messenger to the underworld. A rooster spirit guide prompts one to have a humorous side to their character and helps them remain jovial. Those with a rooster spirit animal are high on energy, with a fiery spirit and an immense passion. They possess an enthusiastic and witty nature. Often very optimistic they utilize every opportunity coming their way.
